Robert Schaefer Board of DirectorsDaVinci’s Military Program is honored to be hosted by retired U.S. Army Special Forces Officer and DaVinci Board Member, Robert W. Schaefer. A decorated veteran with a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades, Schaefer brings a unique perspective and unwavering passion to this initiative. His deep understanding of military life, coupled with his extensive experience in leadership and strategic thinking, makes him an invaluable asset to the program. As a fervent film enthusiast and dedicated member of the DaVinci family, Schaefer is eager to celebrate the stories of our nation’s heroes through the power of cinema.

Military Category Submission Guidelines

Film Format:

  • Short Format (under 40 minutes TRT including credits)
  • Narrative or Documentary

Eligibility:

  • Films must be produced by US Armed Forces active or retired servicemen and women, OR;
  • The subject matter or story must be centered around the US Military

Screening Format:

  • DCP film file is required for showcase should your submission be Selected.
