Junior Leo Award™ Program

A Free-to-Enter student short film awards platform.

This coming November, the festival will introduce an all-new Junior Leo Program as part of the DaVinci ecosystem and programming at the live event.  The 2-hour showcase and filmmaker Q&A will invite top Selections from students* to showcase and compete for a Jr. Leo Award.

The Jr. Leo Program celebrates filmmakers of tomorrow — burgeoning talent who pull us into compelling worlds in short format narrative, documentary, and animation.  These students of film will be invited to screen at DIFF’s live event at The Grove in Los Angeles to compete for the festival’s inaugural Jr. Leo Award (2023), DIFF distribution, and sponsorship prizes.
