Board of Directors

Location: Global / Remote
Type: Term / Consent to Serve (Fiduciary)

Overview: DaVinci International Film Festival is seeking visionary leaders to join our Board of Directors.  As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, DIFF is dedicated to honoring the “Architects of Cinema“.  We are looking for established professionals with a passion for the arts and committed to nonprofit excellence to help guid our strategic growth, ensuring financial sustainability, and expand our global footprint from the Grove to Europe (and beyond).

The Role:

Board Members provide the high-level governance and strategic networking required to sustain an award-winning International film festival.  This is a leadership position centered on advocacy, fundraising, and mission-based oversight.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Strategic Governance: Participate in quarterly board meetings (Zoom) to review organizational goals, approve annual budgets, and ensure legal and ethical integrity.
  • Mission Advocacy:  Serve as a brand ambassador for DIFF, leveraging professional networks to identify new opportunities for partnerships and growth.
  • Financial Stewardship: Provide oversight for the festival’s long-term financial health, including personal contribution (Honorarium) and/or active participation in fundraising initiatives (Give-Get).
  • Committee Leadership: Serve on or chair at least one standing committee (e.g., Finance, Development, Marketing, or Programming)
  • Event Attendance: Not a requirement, but would be great to have you there!  Represent the Board at flagship events, including the annual festival in Los Angeles and international activations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional Expertise: We are specifically seeking individuals with backgrounds in Law, Finance, Non-Profit Management, Global Logistics, or Senior-Level Entertainment.
  • Philanthropic Experience:  Prior experience on a nonprofit board or a deep understanding of 501(c)3 governance is highly preferred.
  • Influence:  A robust network within the film, technology, or philanthropic sectors.
  • Commitment:  A genuine desire to support independent filmmakers and the evolution of the cinematic arts.

Board of Advisors

Location: Global / Remote
Role Type: Advisory (Non-Fiduciary)

The Opportunity:

DaVinci International Film Festival (DIFF) invites industry titans and subject matter experts to join our Board of Advisors. While our Directors handle governance, our Advisors provide the strategic “brain trust” that keeps DIFF at the forefront of the international film circuit. This is an invitation-only role for leaders who wish to shape the future of the “Architect Spirit” in cinema through high-level mentorship and industry insight.

The Role:

Advisors serve as strategic consultants to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors. Your primary objective is to provide expert guidance in your specific domain—be it film distribution, emerging technology, global logistics, or brand partnerships—to ensure DIFF’s continued excellence at The Grove, Cannes, and beyond.

Core Contributions: 

  • Strategic Consultation: Provide “on-call” expert advice within your field of expertise to assist with organizational scaling and creative direction
  • Industry Liaison: Facilitate high-level introductions to key stakeholders, potential sponsors, or world-class talent to expand the festival’s reach
  • Innovation Mentorship: Advise on market trends and emerging technologies to keep DIFF competitive in a rapidly evolving entertainment landscape
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Lend your professional prestige to the DIFF banner, enhancing the festival’s credibility with filmmakers and global partners
  • Quarterly Briefings: Participate in high-level advisory calls to review festival milestones and provide feedback on upcoming initiatives.

Director of Operations

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)
Type: Full-Time / Contract

Overview: We are seeking a strategic and highly organized Director of Operations to oversee the logistical heart of the festival. This role is responsible for the seamless execution of our annual international events at The Grove and the DaVinci Masquerade á Cannes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring an elite experience for filmmakers and attendees alike.  This position reports to the Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of all festival logistics and venue operations.
  • Manage annual production budgets, vendor contracts, and insurance requirements.
  • Work closely with Sponsorship Director for on-site activations and logistics.
  • Oversee site layouts, technical requirements, and crowd control plans.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and Committees to ensure consistent brand standards.
  • Troubleshoot real-time operational challenges during live events.

*International event experience and French language proficiency is a plus.
*Prior festival experience is not required but is a plus.

Sponsorship Director

Location: Remote
Type: Commission-Based / Contract

Overview: The DaVinci International Film Festival (DIFF) is seeking a dynamic, high-performing Sponsorship Director to lead our corporate partnership and brand integration efforts. We are looking for a rainmaker who understands the intersection of luxury branding, entertainment, and the independent film market. You will be the primary architect of our sponsorship packages, securing the resources that allow us to champion visionary filmmakers on a global stage in Los Angeles and Cannes, France.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pitch, and secure high-value corporate sponsorships and brand partners.
  • Manage and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts, luxury brands, and industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee the fulfillment of all sponsorship deliverables during the festival, ensuring maximum ROI (visibility) for partners.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to integrate brand activations seamlessly into the festival experience.

*All pitch materials (decks, etc.) will be provided by DIFF.

  • Proven track record in sponsorship sales, talent agencies, or high-end event fundraising.

Sponsorship Broker (Independent Contractor) 

Organization: DaVinci Film Society Inc. (ALL EVENTS)
Location: Global / Remote
Compensation:  18% – 20% Commission (Performance-Based)

The Opportunity:

Leverage the prestige of an award-winning international brand to secure high-level partnerships. DaVinci International Film Festival (DIFF) is seeking elite Sponsorship Brokers to monetize our flagship events at The Grove (Los Angeles) and the DaVinci Masquerade (Cannes Film Festival).

We provide the pedigree, the track record, and the world-class venues; you provide the network and the closing skills.

Scope of Work:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify and engage “on-brand” corporate sponsors, luxury partners, and lifestyle brands aligned with DIFF’s high-end aesthetic.
  • Deal Execution: Manage the full sales cycle—from initial outreach and pitch deck presentation to contract execution*.
  • Diversified Revenue: Secure traditional brand sponsorships, on-site activations, or high-net-worth philanthropic contributions.
  • Relationship Management: Act as the primary liaison between the brand and the festival’s executive team until the handover for fulfillment.

*All pitch materials (decks, etc.) and closing contracts will be provided by DIFF.

The Numbers:

  • Commission: 18% – 20% on all sourced and secured brand sponsorships.
  • Philanthropic Incentives: Commission or finders fees apply to high-net-worth donations and non-brand financial support.
  • Rapid Payouts: Commissions are processed and paid quickly upon the fulfillment of sponsor payment.

  • Proven Closer: Demonstrable track record in sponsorship sales, luxury brand partnerships, or high-ticket entertainment deals.
  • Active Network: Immediate access to decision-makers in the film, tech, fashion, or spirits industries.
  • Autonomous Professional: Ability to work as a self-starting independent contractor with minimal oversight.
  • Brand Alignment: Deep understanding of how to position an award-winning 501(c)3 nonprofit to global stakeholders.

Social Media Manager

Location: Remote

Type: Part-Time / Seasonal

Overview: The DaVinci International Film Festival is looking for a creative storyteller and digital strategist to lead our social media presence. As the Social Media Manager, you will be the voice of DIFF, responsible for engaging our global community of filmmakers, fans, and industry professionals. We need someone who understands the brand and can translate the prestige of our festival and the energy of our live events at The Grove into compelling digital content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across our social media platforms.
  • Create high-quality original content, including graphics, short-form video (Reels), and live event coverage.  Please visit our IG to get a sense of our expectations.
  • Manage the editorial calendar to promote call-for-entries, film screenings, and festival announcements.
  • Engage with our audience in real-time to foster community growth and brand loyalty.
  • Monitor analytics to optimize engagement and expand the festival’s digital footprint.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Deep understanding of social media trends and the independent film landscape.
  • A deep understanding of the DaVinci brand.
  • Proficiency in content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, etc.).
  • Excellent copywriting skills with a sharp, professional, yet engaging tone.
  • Experience managing social media for live events or entertainment brands.

Coverage Team Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA (On-Site for Festival Dates)
Type: Contract / Project-Based

Overview: The Coverage Team Manager holds one of the most critical roles at the DaVinci International Film Festival. You are responsible for capturing the “soul” of the festival, ensuring that every red carpet moment, filmmaker interaction, and behind-the-scenes (BTS) highlight is documented with elite precision. The content your team captures is the primary engine for our year-round marketing and the legacy of the DaVinci International Film Festival.

We are looking for a technical leader who understands the high-pressure environment of a live festival and possesses a deep aesthetic alignment with the DaVinci brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage a multi-disciplinary team of videographers, still photographers, and sound technicians across all festival venues.
  • Red Carpet Strategy: Coordinate with Getty Images and PR teams to organize and execute a professional red carpet for Opening Night and the Leo Awards.
  • Content Capture: Oversee all on-the-fly (OTF) filmmaker interviews, BTS coverage of the festival weekend, and recording of in-theater programs.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all still and video assets meet the DaVinci brand standards for lighting, sound, and composition.
  • Asset Management: Direct the organization and immediate offloading/DIT of media to ensure a seamless post-production workflow for future marketing editions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Technical Mastery: Professional-level knowledge of cinema cameras, still photography (DSLR/Mirrorless), and field audio recording.
  • The “DaVinci” Eye: A deep understanding of our brand touchpoints—knowing exactly how to capture the prestige of the festival while making filmmakers and guests feel elevated.
  • High-Pressure Execution: Experience managing media teams in live event environments where there are no “second takes.”
  • Logistical Expertise: Ability to manage complex schedules and move a crew efficiently between screenings, panels, and red carpets at The Grove.

Nonprofit Compliance Officer

Location: Remote
Type: Part-Time / Contract

Overview: The DaVinci International Film Festival operates under the DaVinci Film Society Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are seeking a dedicated Nonprofit Compliance Officer to ensure our foundation operates with total integrity and remains in full compliance with federal and state regulations. This is a foundational role that protects the mission of the festival by managing the legal and administrative health of our nonprofit status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 501(c)3 Oversight: Maintain and protect our tax-exempt status through diligent record-keeping and adherence to IRS regulations.
  • Governance & Reporting: Oversee the preparation and filing of annual reports, including Form 990, and state-level charitable solicitations.
  • Policy Management: Develop and maintain internal policies (Conflict of Interest, Whistleblower, Document Retention, etc.) to ensure best-in-class nonprofit governance.
  • Audit & Finance Support: Work alongside our accounting team to ensure all donations, grants, and festival revenues are tracked and reported accurately.
  • Grant Compliance: Ensure that all restricted funds and grants are utilized according to donor intent and legal requirements.
  • Board Liaison: Assist the Board of Directors with meeting minutes, bylaws updates, and organizational transparency.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in nonprofit administration, legal compliance, or foundation management.
  • Strong knowledge of IRS regulations pertaining to 501(c)3 organizations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a “zero-error” mindset regarding paperwork and deadlines.
  • Ability to translate complex legal requirements into actionable steps for the festival team.
