DIFF CEO, Chadwick Pelletier FilmAfrica

FilmAfrica is a dynamic program launched by the DaVinci International Film Festival dedicated to exploring and celebrating the rich, diverse, and groundbreaking world of cinema emerging from the African continent. Following a spectacularly successful inaugural year—which took center stage as the DaVinci Opening Night on October 10th, complete with a star-studded red carpet, acclaimed film screening, and sold-out reception—FilmAfrica has immediately become an established, annual highlight.

Moving forward, FilmAfrica will follow the successful model of our global programs, ensuring a consistent and high-quality experience for both filmmakers and audiences. The annual two-hour program will feature a curated showcase of Official Selections, giving filmmakers a vital platform and attendees an opportunity to experience focused, compelling artistry. Following the screenings, the event will include engaging Q&A sessions with filmmakers and a captivating industry panel discussion featuring leaders and representatives to offer valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities of African production.
