Our new poster for the 7th edition of the DaVinci International Film Festival is a deliberate nod to the glamour and sophistication of classic Hollywood, reimagined for a new generation of filmmakers. The design centers around a stylized likeness of Audrey Hepburn, an icon of cinema’s golden era, positioned against the backdrop of an atmospheric outdoor movie marquee. This image instantly evokes the excitement and anticipation of a night at the movies, a feeling we aim to recreate for both filmmakers and audiences alike.
The poster’s dominant green tones are carefully chosen to enhance this vintage aesthetic. Think of the classic green hues found in old Hollywood memorabilia – perhaps a faded theatre curtain, a vintage movie poster, or the lush lawns of a grand estate. These shades of green lend a sense of nostalgia and timelessness, suggesting a connection to the rich history of filmmaking while also feeling fresh and contemporary. We wanted to capture the essence of those iconic moments in cinema history and translate that magic to the filmmakers of today.
Just as the great filmmakers of the past captivated audiences with their storytelling and artistry, we believe the filmmakers of today hold that same potential. The DaVinci International Film Festival is committed to providing a platform for these new voices, and this poster, with its classic Hollywood inspiration and subtle green palette, serves as a reminder of the enduring power of cinema and the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
